Tonight, the West Covina American All-Stars were awarded their Third Place trophies by the State Tournament's official sponsor. Here, 7-Up Youth Foundation official Jim Smith presents the team trophy to managers Ed Shannon and Fred Allen, Sr. The players in attendance were (l. to r.): Denny Allen, Freddy Allen, Jim Kendall, Carl Lenz, Rudy Bullen, Alan Myer, Gary Walker, John Montgomery, Bruce Young, Steve Fox, Don Bunch, Gary Beecher, Tom Dolan and Mike Okura.
